STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements This work provides for the development and execution of Generative AI for NASA Earth Science Mission Data, Phase 1 Hackweek, activities. One activity will be conducted: the design and execution of a five-day hackweek event (in August 2026) focused on training researchers, build community and craft standards for adoption of gen-AI tools for NASA Earth science research.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

The contractor shall facilitate community building, education, and open-source software Earth science community. Specifically, the Institute helps with planning, hosting, and evaluating community events including hackweeks and workshops. The overall role is one of support and consultation for members of the Earth science research community who are responsible for content development and teaching.

3. Period of Performance

24 August 2026 through 28 August 2026
