About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the manufacture of acrylic test tank components, dated April 22, 2026, with an 8-12 week period of performance.

The contractor is required to manufacture one tank barrel, one tank dome 1, and one tank dome 2a according to government-furnished CAD models in STEP file format. Manufacturing tasks may include rough cutting, gluing, milling, deburring, polishing, inspection, cleaning, and heat setting inserts. Each tank part must be manufactured to clear acrylic specifications with polished interior and exterior surfaces, allowing visualization of the interior. The vendor's standard inspection process for tolerance verification is acceptable. Lift and handling hardware must be added to each tank part as defined in the government-furnished presentation "Lift Locations Definition.pptx." All manufactured items shall be delivered to NASA Marshall Space Flight Center's Central Receiving facility in Huntsville, Alabama 35812, with deliverables properly packed for shipment at the end of the performance period.
