Statement of Work Summary

This Statement of Work defines the fabrication requirements for structural components of the Artemis Lunar Laser Retroreflector (ALLR) program. The contractor must machine three types of precision components from Government-furnished Invar-36 material—a structural alloy with extremely low thermal expansion properties suitable for aerospace applications. The deliverables consist of 2 units of Housing, Optic (part 2360256), 6 units of Mount, 3-Point (part 2360258), and 2 units of Base, Optical (part 2360261). All machining must be performed according to attached technical drawings and specifications. Work is to be performed at the contractor's facility with delivery required within 8 weeks of contract award to NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (Code 61A, Building 22 Room 140, Greenbelt, Maryland 20771).

The Government will furnish all Invar-36 material required for fabrication, eliminating material procurement responsibility from the contractor. The entire period of performance is constrained to 8 weeks from award, establishing a compressed timeline for this precision machining work. No pricing terms, set-asides, contract vehicles, or response deadlines are specified in this document, indicating these details appear in associated solicitation materials.

STATEMENT OF WORK

Background

The Artemis Lunar Laser Retroreflector (ALLR) requires components to be fabricated to hold the main optic. These are the individual parts that assemble the structural housing, which secures and contains the main optic, the Retroreflector. These components are made up of Invar-36, a structural alloy with a very low coefficient of thermal expansion.

Scope

Machine per specifications in the attached drawings using Invar-36 material provided by the Government and deliver to NASA GSFC.
