About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for precision machining and welding fabrication services for NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in support of the InRoDES Gas Generator Version 1 project. The work spans from January 13, 2026 through June 1, 2026.

The SOW encompasses four tasks: Task 1 requires machining 12 injectors of various part numbers from additively manufactured ORCAlloy-21; Task 2 requires machining 8 chambers (three different part numbers) from additively manufactured GRX-810; Task 3 requires machining 4 converging throats, 4 sensor ports, and welding 4 converging throat assemblies from GRX-810; and Task 4 requires machining 4 elbow halves and welding 2 elbows from GRX-810. All work must comply with specified drawing specifications, with completion required within 10 working days of receiving each set of parts from NASA. The contractor must provide detailed ISO 9001:2015 inspection reports for all completed work and immediately notify NASA of any noncompliance, with NASA providing replacement parts at no additional cost if parts are deemed unacceptable.

The contractor must demonstrate specific qualifications including: ISO 9001:2015 certification, experience achieving 16 Ra surface finish on both ORCAlloy-21 and GRX-810 with documented examples or physical parts, dimensional tolerances of ±0.004" or better on both materials, and experience machining all AS5202 port types with AN fitting verification. Additionally, the contractor must have ITAR compliance capability and be responsible for providing all necessary fixturing, tooling, and support hardware. All completed parts and inspection reports shall be shipped to Central Receiving, Building 4631, Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, AL 35812.

3. Upon completion of the inspection, the contractor shall provide NASA with a detailed inspection report per ISO 9001:2015.

4. If a part is found to be noncompliant with the drawing specifications, the contractor shall notify NASA immediately. Noncompliance is defined as failure to meet dimensional tolerances, omission of required steps outlined in the drawing notes or flag notes, or failure to adhere to any other explicit instructions specified in the drawing. NASA will evaluate the impact of the noncompliance. If the part is deemed unacceptable, NASA will provide a replacement part for machining at no additional cost to NASA.

5. The contractor shall complete all machining work no later than 10 working days from receipt of each set from NASA.

6. The contractor shall have demonstrated experience achieving a surface finish of 16 Ra on additively manufactured ORCAlloy-21. The contractor shall provide documented examples or physical parts they have previously machined from ORCAlloy-21 that meet this surface finish requirement.

7. The contractor shall have demonstrated experience achieving dimensional tolerances of ±0.004" or better on additively manufactured ORCAlloy-21.

8. The contractor shall have experience machining all AS5202 port types in additively manufactured ORCAlloy-21. The contractor shall verify the threads using the appropriate AN fitting to ensure compliance with specifications.

9. The contractor shall hold certification to ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards.

10. The contractor shall have the capability to handle ITAR-controlled data and parts, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
