About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a camera system installation at the High-Pressure Industrial Water (HPIW) Plant at Stennis Space Center (SSC). The project involves transitioning from manual to remote operations by implementing an Ethernet-based network camera system to support propulsion test operations. The SOW requires procurement, delivery, and installation of multiple AXIS camera types, including 15 indoor PTZ cameras, 12 360°/PTZ cameras, 1 180° camera, and 1 outdoor PTZ camera, along with associated mounting hardware, midspans, and networking equipment. Additional headend equipment includes 3 monitors, a Dell server, workstation, and Milestone Xprotect software licenses. The camera system will cover critical areas such as Nordberg engines, reservoir fill, canal pump station, jockey pump area, sump pumps, diesel tanking systems, switchyard, and generator areas. Delivery is specified for Stennis Space Center, with an execution timeline of up to 12 weeks after order receipt, subject to hardware availability, and requiring NASA SSC Electrical Design Engineering approval for all design and equipment procurement.

Stennis Space Center High Pressure Industrial Water - Camera System
Background
The High-Pressure Industrial Water (HPIW) Plant at Stennis Space Center (SSC) supports propulsion test operations by supplying high-volume water for test stand cooling and fire protection. The plant, constructed in the 1960s, consists of 10 DeLaval pumps powered by Nordberg diesel engines and draws water from a 66-million-gallon reservoir. It supplies water through a network of headers to the A and B test complexes.
Since its inception, the plant has been manually operated from a collocated Central Control Room, allowing operators to monitor performance visually and audibly during testing.
Current Operations
The HPIW Plant has reliably supported rocket propulsion testing involving liquid oxygen (LOX) and liquid hydrogen (LH) propellants. The facility's design ensures operator safety by maintaining a sufficient distance between the control room and test stands.
Future Operations
Upcoming stage testing shall involve larger vehicles and different propellant types, requiring an extended safe operating distance. This creates a need for transitioning the HPIW Plant from manual to remote operations at a new location outside the expected Quantity-Distances calculated for a worst-case scenario.
Remote Operations Requirements – Camera System
The purpose of this document is to outline the requirements for implementing remote operations using an Ethernet-based network camera system and additional control equipment to transmit data to a remote monitoring location.
Statement of Work
The selected vendor shall procure, deliver, and install the following equipment below from authorized vendors/manufactures within the contractual local of Stennis Space Center. The contractor shall supply and install the camera system as a turn-key package. See below for estimated quantiles of equipment. Conduit and cable lengths shall be field verified for appropriate quantity.
