About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines NASA Glenn Research Center's procurement of an Advanced Small Wing (ASW) Hexacopter drone with specific technical requirements. The primary item is a hexacopter capable of carrying payloads up to 25 kg, providing 50 minutes of endurance, featuring modular payload integration, and measuring approximately 1658 mm in diameter. Key specifications include a CubePilot autopilot stack for NASA research compatibility, redundant propulsion, and domestic manufacturing with U.S.-based technical support.
The procurement also includes an RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) upgrade and will be performed at NASA Glen Research Center in Cleveland, OH, with a 30-day performance period. The SOW includes two notable sections related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) usage, requiring contractors to disclose AI technology use during contract performance and adhere to additional requirements for AI system acquisitions as defined by OMB memo M-25-22.
