About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details NASA Langley Research Center's requirement to procure two LaVision Inc. upgrade dongles for DaVis software. The first dongle (Part #20296) and the second dongle (Part #2 0961925385) include a comprehensive software upgrade from DaVis 10 to DaVis 11 with full hardware support, featuring advanced software packages for 2D and 3D deformation/strain analysis, tomographic imaging, particle analysis, and background-oriented Schlieren (BOS) imaging. The software packages include capabilities for crosscorrelation image processing, volumetric reconstruction, particle sizing, and processing multi-camera 3D imaging setups for thermal flow and combustion process analysis. The place of performance is NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA, with a 12-week performance period after receipt of order (ARO).

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements

NASA Langley Research Center has a requirement to procure the LaVision Inc upgrade Dongles, the specifics are listed below.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

QTY Part number DESCRIPTION

1 N/A DaVis11 Upgrade Dongle# 20296 Software Upgrade to DaVis 11 - from DaVis 10 Full hardware support version

1 N/A DaVis11 Upgrade Dongle# 2 0961925385 -Software Upgrade to DaVis 11 - from DaVis 10 Full hardware support version

- 2D Deformation/Strain Software package -crosscorrelation image processing algorithms (least squares matching - LSM) with high accuracy and spatial resolution, multi-pass correlation with gradient-defined cell deformation, automatic adaptive cell size/orientation for precise deformation gradient resolution, advanced displacement field post-processing, and comprehensive image and deformation/strain computation and display.

- 3D Deformation/Strain Software package -crosscorrelation image processing algorithms (least squares matching - LSM) with volumetric reconstruction of 3-D surfaces, full representation of 3-D deformation and strain fields and 3-D surface structure

- Tomographic Imaging Software module - enables the tomographic volume reconstruction of instantaneous or averaged recordings of 3-dimensional flow structures based on either simultaneous algebraic reconstruction technique (SART) or simultaneous multiplicative algebraic reconstruction technique (SMART). While at least 4 cameras/views are recommended the tomographic imaging software can be used for an unlimited number of non intensified or intensified cameras for super-resolution.

- ParticleMaster Software Package - for spherical and nonspherical particles and droplets. Capture and analysis of shadowgraphic images to determine particle size (and velocity), absolute size calibration based on microscopic imaging, statistical results include size (D10, D30, D32, V10, V50, V90, etc.), eccentricity, and velocity (with double pulsed laser)

- Tomographic Sizing Software module - Three-dimensional sizing of macroscopic objects recorded with multi-view setups using shadowgraphic or object-illumination approaches. Easy-to-use segmentation routines for 2-phase flows such as bubbles or macroscopic solid particles in seeded and unseeded fluids. Tomographic reconstruction and optional velocimetry of reconstructed objects The tomographic sizing software can be easily used with all LaVision cameras.

- Background Oriented Schlieren (BOS) software -for recording and processing of BOS images The BOS-module yields 2C-2D displacement fields from index of refraction gradients in the probe volume For axisymmetric flows the BOS-module features additional routines to derive the volumetric index of refraction field

- Tomographic Background Oriented Schlieren (BOS) Software - Processing of images from multi-camera 3D-BOS setups for tomographic reconstruction of 3D density fields of thermal flows, combustion processes, or mixing of fluids with different densities. Requires 2D BOS software (article #1105067)
