About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details NASA Johnson Space Center's requirements for migrating and configuring SimManager, a simulation data and process management environment. The project involves a firm-fixed-price contract to be completed by November 30, 2025, with key work packages including portal migration, single sign-on integration, HPC solver integration, FEM workflow template development, training, and final deployment.

The scope encompasses migrating the SimManager environment to the latest version, configuring OAuth2/OIDC authentication, integrating structural analysis solvers like Nastran, developing workflow templates, providing remote training sessions, and ensuring full version control. The contractor will deliver weekly status reports, fully configured development and production environments, integration documentation, workflow templates, training materials, and a final production configuration package. Excluded from the scope are Windchill integration, CFD and VCollab workflows, postprocessor automation, and on-site support.

Statement of Work (SOW)

SimManager Migration and Portal Configuration SOW No. AE-20250715-01

Date: July 15, 2025

1. Introduction The purpose of this Statement of Work is to define the services and deliverables required to migrate, configure, and extend the existing SimManager environment at NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC). This effort will support improved simulation data and process management across NASA engineering organizations, with a focus on structural, thermal, CFD, and mechanisms analysis.

This effort will be executed under a Firm-fixed-price, level-of-effort term contract. No Time and Materials billing is permitted under this procurement action.

2. Scope of Work The selected contractor will deliver the following work packages and services:

Project Managment

• Project coordination and status reporting on a weekly basis

WP01 – SimManager Portal Migration and SSO Integration

• Migrate existing SimManager environment to the latest version.

• Configure SSO using OAuth2/OIDC with NASA's Entra ID infrastructure.

• Build and validate both DEV and PROD environments.

• Deliver migration and configuration documentation.

WP03 – HPC Solver Integration

• Integrate at least one structural analysis solver (e.g., Nastran) with SimManager.

• Configure SSH-based job submission and status monitoring to existing HPC resources using SLURM.

• Install and configure ActionRunner components.

• Deliver a Solution Design Document (SDD) capturing job submission, file access, and portal integration.

National Aeronautics and Space Administration

Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center 2101 NASA Road 1 Houston, Texas 77058-3696

WP06 – FEM Workflow Template Development

• Conduct a workflow requirements session with NASA stakeholders.

• Configure a FEM workflow using standard SimManager work request functionality.

• Deploy and validate in both DEV and PROD environments.

WP07 – Training and Workshops

• Provide up to three remote training sessions focused on the configured FEA environment.

• Deliver all associated training materials to NASA for future use.

WP08 – Final Deployment and Transition

• Finalize and deploy the production configuration based on feedback from testing and training.

• Ensure full version control and configuration tracking for SimManager.

WP09 – Expert on Demand (Optional Use of Remaining Level of Effort)

• Remaining level of effort (if any) may be applied toward post-deployment support, additional configuration, or expert consultation at NASA’s direction.

• Optional work includes but is not limited to :

o WP02 – Basic FEA and CFD Data Management (FUTURE SCOPE) o WP04 – Post Processor Application Integration (FUTURE SCOPE) o WP05 – Comparison Report Template Configuration (FUTURE SCOPE)

3. Government Furnished Resources

• Project lead and technical points of contact.

• Access to AWS-hosted SimManager environments.

• Necessary credentials and system access to support integration.

• Required licensing and certificates for the SimManager deployment.

• Execution details for solver integrations and automation scripts.

4. Deliverables

• Weekly status report

• Fully migrated and configured DEV and PROD environments.

• All integration and configuration documentation (SDDs).

• FEM workflow templates.

• Training materials and recordings (as applicable).

• Final production configuration and release package.

5. Schedule The period of performance is anticipated to begin upon contract award and conclude by November 30, 2025. Detailed milestones will be finalized in coordination with NASA JSC and must follow the sequence:

• Weeks 1–5: WP01 Portal Migration

• Weeks 6–10: WP02 HPC Integration

• Weeks 11–12: WP03 FEM Workflow

• Weeks 13–14: WP04 Training

• Weeks 15–16: WP05 Final Deployment

• Ongoing: WP09 Expert on Demand (optional)

6. Exclusions

• Windchill integration.

• CFD and VCollab workflows (future scope).

• Postprocessor automation (future scope).

• On-site support.
