About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details NASA's requirements for an Engineering Acoustics SK-CDP Experimental Prototype, a specialized computerized dynamic posturography system for research purposes. The system includes a motion platform with anterior-posterior and medio-lateral motion capabilities, dual force plates, an overhead patient safety frame, body-mounted inertial sensors, and visual display technologies including a head-mounted Vive Pro display with eye tracking. Key requirements encompass motion platform specifications with +/- 20° range of motion, safety tracking features like optical light curtains, and a therapist interface with a 14" touch screen and ergonomic remote.
The prototype will be delivered to the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, with an estimated delivery lead time of 3 months after receipt of order (ARO). NASA emphasizes that this is an experimental device without current certifications or regulatory approvals, and is only suitable for carefully controlled experimental use. The equipment will be palletized for collection, requiring a lift-gate equipped truck, and the customer is responsible for all freight charges. The SOW explicitly notes that the prototype does not include set-up or training services.
