About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details NASA's requirement for optomechanical supplies and detectors for developing a custom solar cell photoluminescence and carrier lifetime characterization system. The comprehensive procurement includes optical equipment with high damage thresholds, such as microscope objectives, tube lenses, filter sets, neutral density filters, beam splitter plates, dichroic mirrors, zoom beam expanders, and fiber collimators. Detectors specified include power and energy meters with various measurement capabilities, ranging from 20nW to 5W, and a single photon detector capable of measuring lifetimes from 1ns to 1ms.
The SOW also outlines mechanical supplies needed, including filter wheel stations, post holders, optical posts, mounting hardware, translation stages (X-Y with 150mm travel range and Z with 50mm travel range), stage controllers, and flip mounts. Additionally, laser safety equipment consists of four hinged L-shaped optical enclosures (21" x 15" x 12") that can be joined to form a single enclosure. The characterization setup will utilize a 10W CW 532nm laser and a 3.5W 400-1700nm tunable Supercontinuum laser with 50ps pulse widths, indicating a highly specialized scientific research application.
