About this file
This Statement of Work outlines requirements for building a lidar prototype operating at 780 nm for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). The project requires the procurement of specialized laser components including 2 diode lasers and 4 tapered semiconductor amplifiers.
The technical specifications detail precise requirements for both components. The diode lasers must operate at 780.2 nm wavelength with DFB laser type, <1 MHz linewidth, 20 mW output power, CW operation, and 14-pin butterfly housing with hermetic seal, including monitor diode, thermoelectric cooler, and fiber-coupled output features. The tapered semiconductor amplifiers must match the same wavelength and linewidth specifications but deliver 3W output power at 35% duty cycle, with 1 mm beam diameter and 3 mrad beam divergence outputs. All components are to be delivered to NASA GSFC in Greenbelt, MD.
