STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements The sole vendor will provide research flight services to test a portable salad spinner device being designed and fabricated by KSC to effectively sanitize fresh produce, utensils, and small tools in a weightless environment. Using a fully transparent, fully contained, atmospheric pressure unit, the requirements for KSC researchers during flight experiment would be to:

1) Test the device operation in weightlessness.

2) Record the movement of small quantities of water from inside an inner rotating vessel toward the drainage ports while in microgravity conditions.

3) Record how much time is required for full soaking

4) Record how much time is required for 80% removal of the introduced liquid volume.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

The flight profile will consist of 30 parabolas (28 microgravity, 2 lunar gravity) with up to 3-minute breaks between sets. A “set” is a series of consecutive parabolas.

The vendor shall perform the following duties:

• Provide the plane and pilots

• Provide experiment stowage space

• Provide high-resolution cameras inside the cabin to capture video.

• Provide service within 250 miles of KSC

3. Place of Performance Research Flight facility in Fort Lauderdale, FL

4. Period of Performance Testing shall be performed September 1, 2025.
