About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines MSFC's requirements for purchasing a Q-Smart 850 2W,3W,4W Twins 532, 355, 266 nm laser system from Lumibird, Inc. The laser system must be a double-pulsed system optimized for 100 ns delay between pulses, with a primary wavelength of 266 nm at installation while maintaining capability for 1064, 532, or 355 nm using supplied harmonic generator crystals.

The technical specifications include energy requirements per beam (≥650 mJ @1064 nm, ≥310 mJ @532 nm, ≥160 mJ @355 nm, and ≥70 mJ @266 nm), a repetition rate of 10 Hz, pulsewidth of 5-6 ns per laser, beam diameter of ~9 mm, and specific beam quality factors for different wavelengths. Additional requirements include beam pointing stability of ±50 microrads, energy stability of ±8% @266 nm, and power drift of ±10% @266 nm. The system requires 10A at 110V or 5A at 220V electrical service and includes closed-loop water-to-air cooling. The place of performance is Lumibird, Inc. in Lannion, France, with a period of performance of 10 weeks after receipt of order (ARO).

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements MSFC plans to purchase a Q-Smart 850 2W,3W,4W Twins 532, 355, 266 nm laser system from Lumibird, Inc.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

The contractor shall provide the purchasing laser with the below specifications:

• Double-pulsed laser system optimized for a 100 ns delay between the two pulses.

• Wavelength = 266 nm at the time of installation, but also capable of 1064, 532, or

355 nm using the supplied harmonic generator crystals.

• Best effort to modify Q-smart 850 Twins beam profile to an Amplitude Surelite EX equivalent, free of hot spots.

• Repetition Rate = 10 Hz

• Pulsewidth = 5-6 ns per laser, depending on the configured wavelength

• Energy of each beam >= 650 mJ @1064 nm, >=310 mJ @532 nm, >=160 mJ @355 nm, and >=70 mJ @266 nm

• Beam diameter ~ 9 mm

• Beam Quality Factor, M² <2 @1064 nm, <4 @532, <8 @266 nm

• Linewidth = < 1 cm-1

• Divergence = < 0.5 mrad

• Beam pointing stability = +/- 50 microrads

• Jitter @1064 nm = +/- 0.5 ns

• Energy Stability @ 266 nm = +/- 8%

• Power Drift @ 266 nm = +/- 10%

• Beam Spatial Profile (fit to Gaussian) = >0.7 near-field, 0.90 far-field

• Polarization Ratio >80%

• Electrical Service Requirements: 10A at 110V or 5A at 220V

• External Water Service Requirements: None; closed-loop water-to air cooling.
