About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for LEIA Space Flight Hardware Fabrication required by NASA Ames Research Center. The SOW requires delivery of four types of heaters: 4 X 4 HEATER DETECTOR (ASP-2100-M169-1), 4 X 4 HEATER EMITTER (ASP-2100-M169-2), CAL CELL HEATER EMITTER (ASP-2100-M188-1), and CAL CELL HEATER DETECTOR (ASP-2100-M188-2), with quantities of 100 units (Qty A) or 150 units (Qty B) for each part number.
Quote submissions are due by 8/23/2024, with requested hardware delivery within 3-4 weeks ARO (negotiable). Special requirements include providing Certificates of Compliance (COCs), lot numbers, dimension inspections, and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) for all parts. The SOW details specific inspection requirements including FAIR documentation, secondary inspections based on Individual Drawing Inspection Criteria, and requirements for documentation such as Material Test Reports (MTRs) and packing slips. All non-conformances require NASA representative approval before proceeding with fabrication. Delivery is to NASA Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, CA.

4. Documentation: Certification of Compliances (COCs) and Material Test Reports (MTRs) requires the Purchase Order (PO) and PO line item written on each document.
Packing Slips from the Vendor and Sub-Vendors for fabricated parts, fasteners, and processes (anodize, chemical film coating, etc.) require COC and MTR (where applicable).
Annotate this NASA PO and Item Number (if applicable) number on all COC, MTR, and Inspection Reports.
5. Inspection:
Inspection Reports
Inspection reports shall minimally include:
- Inspection Approval Date and Organization Name
- NASA’s PO Number
- Name of individual performing inspection
- Part Number, Part Name, Serial Number, Drawing Revision, and Drawing Number
- Tooling Serial Number and Calibration Due Date
- Measured Dimensions vs. Drawing dimensions
- Inspector’s Signature / Stamp: Certifies that all characteristics are accounted for; meeting drawing requirements or properly documented for disposition.
First Article Inspection A First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) is required by the supplier.
All non-conformances noted on the FAIR require NASA customer representative notification. No further fabrication shall proceed until the NASA representative provides approval.
