About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) from NASA Glenn Research Center specifies requirements for approximately 2,000 L of high-purity xenon for electric propulsion testing, to be delivered no later than December 31st, 2024.

The xenon must have 99.999% purity or greater, with strict maximum allowable impurity levels detailed in a comprehensive table covering 10 constituents including oxygen, water, carbon compounds, and noble gases. Each cylinder must be fitted with a CGA 580 valve fitting and have at least one year remaining on DOT certification. Detailed documentation requirements include certificates of analysis for each cylinder specifying xenon quantity, measured impurity values, and measurement uncertainty. Standard conditions are defined as 32°F and 29.92 inches of mercury. The government will reject any bottles lacking proper impurity level certification.
