About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a federal contract opportunity. The SOW states that Quasar Federal Systems (QFS) will construct four lightweight electric field mill sensors and deliver them to NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC). QFS will also provide on-site calibration training for NASA meteorology personnel who will integrate the sensors into a small UAS for flight testing.

The related federal contract opportunity is a sole-source acquisition by NASA Shared Services Center for Electric Field Mill (EFM) Sensors & Engineering Support from Quasar Federal Systems. NASA has determined that QFS is the sole provider of these specialized EFM sensors and support services. The government intends to acquire the commercial items and services using FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures. Interested parties may submit their capabilities in writing by 11/1/2024 to be considered for a competitive procurement, but the decision to compete this effort is at the government's discretion.
