About this file

This Statement of Work outlines requirements for manufacturing four proto-flight model (PFM) antennas for the ROLSES 2.0 project for NASA's Shared Services Center. The work involves piece part procurement, thermal coating, electromechanical component procurement, and assembly in accordance with CLPS-RLS-ICD-000 "ROLSES Radio Antenna ICD" specifications.

The contractor must verify electromechanical functionality at lab-ambient conditions, conduct proto-flight vibration testing, perform thermal-vacuum testing (including deployment of at least one antenna under simulated Lunar conditions), and complete final inspections and stowage for flight. Work will be performed at 2448 Sixth St., Berkeley California 94710, with delivery required within 4-5 months after purchase order receipt, contingent on electronic component availability. This is identified as a sole source requirement.

STATEMENT OF WORK

ROLSES 2.0 PFM Antenna Development and Production

1. Objective/Requirements Manufacture of four proto-flight model (PFM) antennas consistent with CLPS-RLS- ICD-000 “ROLSES Radio Antenna ICD”, describing:

• Piece part procurement and thermal coating

• Electromechanical component procurement

• Assembly

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

• Verification of electromechanical functionality for all four antennas at lab-ambient conditions

• Exposure of all four antennas to proto-flight vibration levels per “Requirements”

• Exposure of all four antennas to thermal-vacuum test conditions, including deployment of at least one antenna at conditions representative of predicted Lunar operational conditions per “Requirements”

• Verification of electromechanical functionality for all four antennas at lab-ambient conditions, following environmental test exposure

• Includes inspection, dimensions, mechanism function for mechanical

• DC continuity and isolation for electrical

• Final inspections and stowage for flight

• Shipment of antennas to GSFC

3. Place of Performance

2448 Sixth St., Berkeley California 94710

4. Period of Performance

• Delivery within four to five calendar months after receipt of purchase order, depending on electronic component availability.
