About this file
This document is a NASA Statement of Work for a 1-month rental of an EOS M400 printer to produce additively manufactured test specimens using NASA-supplied powders. The vendor shall deliver the test specimens, safeguard the design files and remaining alloy powders, and return them to NASA upon request. The key deliverables are 4 cuboid mechanical test specimen blanks measuring 3.4" x 0.63" x 0.63" and a 0.5" x 0.5" x 0.5" witness specimen, all produced using the GRX-810 powder provided by NASA. This is a sole source requirement, with NASA's Shared Services Center as the procuring agency. The contract opportunity is a 1-month rental for the EOS M400 printer to support this R&D effort.

Research Center (GRC) supplied powders. The alloys that will be provided should be treated as intellectual property and is currently under a provisional patent. This is a research and development effort and the printed specimens and components under this agreement will be accepted on a best-effort basis. The design files and remaining alloy powders should be safeguarded at by the vendor and upon request, the alloy powders and all electronic or paper files pertaining to the designs shall be returned to GRC.
2.0 Deliverables
1.) GRX-810 powder (1000lbs) will be supplied to the vendor to be printed on the EOS M400 for one month using specified parameters.
From the powder optimized build parameters will be determined. Then cuboid mechanical test specimen blanks 3.4” tall by 0.63” by 0.63” wide will be built and supplied to GRC. Additional samples will be made during the same build to act as a witness specimen.
From the powder and build parameters 4 cuboid mechanical test specimen blanks measuring 3.4” x
0.63” x 0.63” will need to be built and supplied to GRC. A witness specimen (0.5”x0.5”x0.5”) will be supplied from the same build. After this build, CAD files of components and other dimensions will be provided for future prints.
