About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a software upgrade requirement for two NASA Goddard Space Flight Center-owned flip chip bonders, the FC150 and FC300. The contractor shall be responsible for developing, installing, and testing the computer software upgrades on-site at NASA/GSFC for 5 days, as well as providing training and documentation. The software upgrades will enable manual pre-alignment capabilities and force sensor calibration updates on the respective bonders. The contractor shall also provide backup hard drives for the systems before and after the upgrades. The period of performance is 16 weeks from the date of award. This effort is being procured through a sole-source contract with SET NORTH AMERICA, LLC, the original equipment manufacturer, under FAR Part 12 and Part 13 procedures. NASA/NSSC is the procuring agency, and performance will take place at NASA/GSFC.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Software Upgrades for FC150 and FC300 Flip Chip Bonders
PR: _____________________
Background
• The Detector Systems Branch at NASA/GSFC owns two (2) high precision flip chip bonders, the FC150 and FC300 manufactured by Smart Equipment Technology (SET). Both pieces of equipment need computer software upgrades to keep pace with evolving technology requirements.
Scope
• The contractor shall be responsible for development, installation and testing of the computer software on the FC150 and FC300 on site at NASA/GSFC for a period of 5 days.
• The contractor shall provide appropriate training and documentation on the software once installed at NASA/GSFC.
• The contractor shall ensure that the FC150 and FC300 flip chip bonders are functional and working properly with the upgrades before leaving NASA/GSFC.
Requirements
• The FC300 software upgrade shall allow manual pre-alignment of the chip to the tool on the FC300 before pickup, including rotational alignment performed by software control.
• The FC150 software upgrade shall allow for the upgrade of force sensor calibration routine using force sensor controller Expresso sensor to force controller Quantum X.
• The contractor shall provide four (4) hard drives to back up the FC150 and FC300 systems. Two (2) hard drives will be used to back up the systems before upgrade, and two (2) hard drives will be used to back up the systems after upgrade.
• The contractor shall provide for labor, travel, and any other expenses incurred by their representative.
Deliverables or Delivery Schedule
• Deliverable schedule begins at Date of Award (DA).
• DA+16 weeks: Vendor arranges for visit to NASA/GSFC for development, installation, and testing of software upgrade, along with training of NASA/GSFC personnel on their use.
Government-Furnished Equipment and Government-Furnished Information
• NASA/GSFC will provide utilities and lab space for installation of the software, per specifications provided by the vendor for electrical power and any other required facilities.
Place of Performance
• Development, installation and testing of the software upgrade will take place at NASA/GSFC. Training of personnel will also take place at NASA/GSFC once the packages are installed.
Period of Performance
• The period of performance for this statement of work is sixteen (16) weeks from the date of award.
