Statement of Work
Date: August 1, 2024
1. Objective/Requirements
The Revolutionary Aviation Technology Branch (D331), Research Directorate (RD), NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) requires the purchase of Electrical Contracting services for Building 1299F room 102 and 102A Alterations – NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia.
2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs
Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide the necessary labor, material, and equipment to perform the following scope of work:
Equipment
• Furnish (1) New 75KVA all copper windings Transformer to feed fused (1) 80A disconnect and
(1) 100A disconnect
• Furnish (1) New 75KVA all copper windings Transformer to feed New 200A 208V Panel
• Furnish (1) New 200A 208V 42 circuit Panel populated with all necessary over current protection for remaining circuits
• Replace and install four 400W equivalent High Bay LEDs in room 102
• E-Stop circuit with all necessary Contactors
Branch Circuit Locations and Equipment At position 1
• in room 102 the contractor will provide and install all conduit and properly sized conductors for:
2 X 120VAC, 20A, single phase (NEMA-5-20R)
The following at position 1 will be E-Stop controlled:
• 1 X 208VAC, 20A, single phase (NEMA-L6-20)
• 1 X 208VAC, 20A, three phase (NEMA-L15-20R)
• 2 X 208VAC, 30A three phase (NEMA-L15-30R)
• 1 X 208VAC, 50A three phase (TBD)
• 1 X 480VAC, 30A, three phase (NEMA-L16-30R) Earth Grounding Bar (Bar provided by 1299f)
At position 3 in room 102A the contractor will install:
• 2 X 208VAC, 30A three phase (NEMA-L15-30R)
• 1 X 208VAC, 20A, single phase (NEMA-L6-20R)
• 2 X 120VAC, 20A single phase (NEMA-5-20R) Earth Grounding Bar (provided by 1299f)
At position 8 in room 102A the contractor will install:
• 1 X 208VAC 80A Non-Fused Disconnect
At position 9 in room 102A the contractor will install
• 1 X 208VAC, 30A three phase (NEMA-L6-30R)
• 1 X 208VAC, 100A three phase drop with a 100A 5 wire Pin and Sleeve Receptacle
At position 4 in room 102 the contractor will provide:
• Raceway stub-up and box for CAT6 data
Additional requirements:
• OHM testing of all conductors before Electrification
• All electrical work shall be installed in accordance with the latest edition of and NASA
LaRC’s Electrical requirements.
• The Contractor shall label all devices, shall update all modified panel schedules, shall generate all new panel schedules, and shall update facility electrical drawings.
• The Contractor shall seal any penetrations.
