About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the purchase of freezer/fridge alarms for all cold storage units in N288 at the NASA Ames Research Center. The objective is to address recent unmonitored freezer failures and power losses that have resulted in the loss of irreplaceable, high-value biological spaceflight samples.

The SOW specifies the required equipment, including 1 gateway, 11 transmitters, 17 temperature probes, 9 additional transmitters, 13 temperature probes, 20 hosting fees, and installation services. The performance location is the N288 Labs, and the period of performance should start no later than September 1st. This SOW is related to a sole-source Federal Contract Opportunity solicitation issued by the NASA Shared Services Center, with a NAICS code of 333415. The government intends to acquire the required commercial items and services using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 procedures.

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements To purchase freezer/fridge alarms for all cold storage units in N288 that contain irreplaceable high-value biological spaceflight samples and items nominally exceeding $100,000 in acquisition value. This is in response to unmonitored freezer failures and power losses that have occurred in the recent past leading to irreplaceable sample loss and significant financial losses by the government.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

• 1x NTC-GATEWAY-T = This is the gateway. We already have one of these on the second floor but we need another for the first floor.

• 11x NTC-UNIV-ZB-PS = Transmitters for -160 to +60

• 17x NTC-PB-UNIV = - 160 to +60 temp probes

• 9x NTC-40ZB-PS = Transmitters for -40 to +60

• 13x NTC-PB-HT = -40 to +60 temp probes

• 20x NTC-HOSTINGFEE = Hosting fee for the software

• 1x NTC-INSTALL = installation
