About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the integration and deintegration of the Advanced Microwave Precipitation Radiometer (AMPR) instrument onto and from the NASA ER-2 aircraft for the Westcoast Hyperspectral Microwave Sensor Intense Experiment (WHyMSIE) campaign.
The SOW states that H&H Engineering will provide a Subject Matter Expert (SME) from the AMPR instrument team to lead the unpacking, integration, deintegration, and packing of the AMPR sensor and equipment for two trips to the Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) in California. The SME will also be available for remote support during the WHyMSIE deployment. If the primary SME is unavailable, H&H Engineering will provide remote consultation support.
The related federal contract opportunity is a sole-source procurement (Solicitation Number: 80NSSC24871835Q) by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center (NASA/NSSC) for the AMPR integration and deintegration services. The performance location is at the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), and the NAICS code is 541990. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications by September 5, 2024, for the Government's consideration of a potential competitive procurement.

Statement of Work
Advanced Microwave Precipitaon Radiometer (AMPR) Integraon and Deintegraon for the Westcoast Hyperspectral Microwave Sensor Intense Experiment (WHyMSIE)
H&H Engineering will support the Advanced Microwave Precipitaon Radiometer (AMPR) instrument’s integraon onto and deintegraon from the NASA ER-2 aircra for a field campaign called Westcoast Hyperspectral Microwave Sensor Intense Experiment (WHyMSIE).
H&H will send (SME), a former member of the AMPR instrument team, on two trips to Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC), co-located with Edwards Air Force Base in California.
On the first trip, prior to the main WHyMSIE campaign, (SME) will lead both the unpacking of the AMPR sensor and equipment and the integraon of the instrument onto the ER-2. During the second trip, aer the campaign, he will lead the deintegraon of the instrument and packing of the AMPR sensor and equipment into their respecve shipping containers, and he will assist AFRC personnel in prepping the AMPR containers for shipping. A current technician on the AMPR team will be sent on both trips to shadow (SME) and learn from him how all these tasks are to be performed correctly and safely. (SME) will remain on call at home during the WHyMSIE deployment to consult with the AMPR team on diagnosing and addressing any significant instrument anomalies. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, (SME) cannot travel in support of WHyMSIE/AMPR, on behalf of H&H Engineering he will consult with the AMPR team on integraon and deintegraon via audio/video teleconference and phone calls/texts.
