Statement of Work 4/25/2024

Background The NASA Search and Rescue (SAR) Office operates and maintains ground stations as part of the global Cospas-Sarsat system, providing satellite-aided location and tracking for persons in distress. The NASA ground station, located at Goddard Space Flight Center, includes a geostationary earth orbit local user terminal (GEOLUT). The NASA GEOLUT includes one rack of equipment for distress detection and location, and an associated antenna system for communication with the GEOSAR constellation. Through the operation of the NASA GEOLUT, SAR capabilities to the nation and the world are developed, tested and maintained. NASA uses this ground station to support its national and international partners, supports the location of persons in distress through anomaly investigation and technology development, and commissions SAR instruments on geostationary satellites. The NASA GEOLUT requires annual maintenance for the software and hardware contained in the GEOLUT 600 system.

Support Services Contractor shall supply a maintenance and support software service for the NASA GEOLUT 600 system, for a period of one year, typically from May 1, 2024 until April 30, 2025.
