About this file
This statement of work outlines requirements for upgrading a magnetic field mapping system for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. NASA requires procuring higher resolution 3-axis magnetic transducers and associated calibration tools including a calibrated HL-Module transducer with three measurement ranges up to 2T, an E-Module transducer, an orthogonality calibration tool, and various magnetic mapping tools. Products must operate between 50 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, 10-90% relative humidity, and include a heavy-duty storage container. Delivery must occur within 40 business days of procurement completion, and calibrations should be certified for a minimum of one year.
The related federal contract opportunity posted by NASA Shared Services Center's Solicitation Number 80NSSC24863778Q seeks proposals to fulfill the statement of work's requirements for higher resolution magnetic probes for NASA's Senis Magnetic Mapper system.

Statement of work
NASA requires the upgrade of its existing Senis Magnetic Field Mapping system (procured in
August of 2018 ) with higher resolution 3-axis magnetic transducer(s) and corresponding signal conditioners and calibration tools. To upgrade the NASA Senis magnetic mapping tool, NASA needs to procure:
- Calibrated HL-Module (Long) of the 3-axis Magnetic Field Transducer. Three range, 100mT, 500mT, 2T. 100mT range Calibrated with E-Module. Item number MMS-SP-
HL. Calibration of Hall Probe and E-Module Bx, By, Bz to +/-500mT.
- E-Module of 3-axis Transducer, pre-calibrated E-Module, so that any H-Module can be connected. Class 1M or 2M lasers. Item number MMS-SP-E.
- Orthogonality calibration tool. Item number MMS-Cal. This tool will enable in-situ calibration of the transducer/E-module in-situ at NASA GRC.
- Senis mapper basic center of rotation tool with dipole magnet pair in disc and mapper advanced center of rotation tool with multipole magnet in ring with holder. Items numbers are MMS-BC, MMS-AC, and 3014-D-03.
- Operating temperature range of 50 to 100 °F
- Operating humidity range of 10-90%
- Heavy-duty protective storage container
- Delivery within 40 business days of completed procurement
- Calibration certified for 1 year minimum
