About this file
This statement of work describes services required as part of the Lightning Advisory Panel. The panel defines Lightning Launch Commit Criteria to reduce risk to launch vehicles from triggered or natural lightning. Panel members are expected to attend a three-day meeting in spring/summer 2024 at Kennedy Space Center, participate in 6-12 teleconferences, review lightning research, provide guidance to modify criteria, and complete action items and deliverables within one year of award. Deliverables include finalized criteria appendices and descriptions of contributions. The related solicitation is for participation on the Lightning Advisory Panel in support of NASA and the Space Force. Pricing is separate for meeting attendance, travel, and serving as panel chair.
