About this file

This statement of work outlines requirements for silicon photomultipliers to support a NASA neutron spectrometer prototype project. The contractor shall provide 6,200 Avent SiPMs, model number AFBR-S4K11C0125B, within 3 months or sooner, to the NASA Goddard address. The SiPMs will be used to fabricate linear arrays for fully instrumenting the neutron spectrometer, which is anticipated to undergo beam testing in October 2023. Timely delivery is requested to support fabrication and testing schedules.

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements The NASA/Htids program has funded our Energetic Particle Laboratory to build and test a neutron spectrometer prototype. In order to fabricate the prototype, linear arrays of silicon photomultiplers (SiPMs) of very fine pitch (1.3-mm) are needed. The Avent SiPMs are the appropriate form factor to achieve this pitch and are currently the only vendor that produce SiPMs with this form factor. Sufficient SiPMs (6200) is needed in order to make enough linear arrays to fully instrument our neutron spectrometer. The spectrometer beam test is anticipated in October 2023. Request this action is expedited.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs The contractor shall perform the following duties:

• Provide 6200 SiPMs (AFBR-S4K11C0125B)

3. Place of Performance SiPMs shall be sent to NASA/Goddard.

Address

4. Period of Performance SiPMs shall be delivered within 3 months if not sooner.
