About this file
This statement of work outlines requirements for a differentially pumped mass spectrometer. The instrument must be capable of detecting and identifying elements within a low-pressure gas stream up to 300 AMU. It will provide real-time sampling to support time-based analyses and allow variable gas inlet control from 200 Torr down to 10 e-2 Torr pressure. The mass spectrometer will also include a fixed size inlet for direct vacuum system sampling and differential pumping enabled by a dry vacuum pump. It must be readily moveable between multiple gas feed systems and operated using government-provided software. These requirements are specified to characterize propellant feed system conditioning and contamination control procedures to verify cleanliness meets flight propulsion system qualification needs.
The related federal contract opportunity is a special notice from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center seeking offers for the differentially pumped mass spectrometer described in the statement of work.

Statement of Work
Objective: Differentially pumped mass spectrometer is sought to characterize propellant feed-system conditioning steps and contamination control procedures to verify cleanliness requirements are are compatible with and will be met for qualification of flight propulsion systems.
Instrument Requirements:
1. Residual Gas Analyzer capable of detecting and identifying elements within low-pressure gas stream up to 300 AMU.
2. Gas analyzer will provide real-time sampling to support time-based analyses.
3. Variable gas inlet to control gas sampling from source line from 200 Torr down to 10 e-2
Torr pressure.
4. Fixed size inlet for direct sampling from vacuum systems.
5. Differential pumping capability enabled with Dry vacuum pump.
6. Instrument is to be operated with government-provided computer running vendor-supply software.
7. Analyzer will be readily moveable to allow it to be used at multiple gas feed-systems.
