About this file
This document is a sole source justification for the procurement of five jet docks from Jet Dock Systems, Inc. The Maritime Expeditionary Security Group Two requires the additional jet docks to support their winter missions utilizing 40-foot Metal Shark Patrol Boats. Jet Dock Systems previously supplied the agency with a total of eight jet docks under prior contracts awarded in 2008 and 2018. As the original equipment manufacturer, only Jet Dock Systems can provide compatible parts and installation services for the existing jet docks within the required delivery date of 24 November 2023. The anticipated value of this sole source contract is between $250,000-500,000 to be funded by FY23 Navy O&MN appropriations. The justification cites 41 U.S.C. 1901 and FAR 13.501(a) for the simplified acquisition of these commercial products.
The related pre-solicitation is for these same jet docks from Jet Dock Systems with the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command listed as the contracting agency.
