About this file

This is a project description document for the Sampson Correctional Institution Gatehouse Project Rebid, a construction initiative in North Carolina. The project involves the design and construction of a 1,200 square foot gatehouse facility at Sampson Correctional Institution, featuring a visitor check-in area, control room, toilet room, and armory room. The structure will utilize wood frame construction with brick veneer on a slab-on-grade foundation and a wood prefab truss roof with asphalt shingle roofing. The scope of work encompasses all structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, civil work, utility connections, security fencing, concrete work, masonry, security doors and windows, and associated work as detailed in the contract documents. Additive Alternate #1 provides the option for an electric vehicle charging station with two charging spaces.

The document serves as the basis for bidding on this correctional facility infrastructure project. Prospective bidders should review all contract documents thoroughly to understand the complete scope of work, technical specifications, and site conditions. The project represents a rebid opportunity, indicating that a previous solicitation was issued and is being re-released to the market. Interested contractors should contact the relevant North Carolina state agency managing the procurement for specific submission deadlines, pre-bid conference schedules, site visit information, and other procedural requirements related to this gatehouse construction project.
