About this file

This change map template outlines a project to improve response to sexual violence cases in Country X through establishing Sexual Assault Response Teams (SARTs). The project goals include making the national mechanism for responding to sexual assault cases fully functional and in line with international standards, and ensuring multidisciplinary teams have the knowledge, skills, and tools to provide immediate care for survivors and properly conduct evidence collection and investigation. Key activities involve organizing a study visit to the US, conducting national workshops to promote SART best practices, and developing and implementing a nationwide training program for multidisciplinary teams. The change map also outlines objectives and indicators to increase reporting of sexual assault cases through a nationwide awareness campaign promoting a toll-free helpline for women and girls, and to apply a cooperative approach among justice and law enforcement to facilitate access to protection services. The related federal grant opportunity is to fund Chile's investment screening mechanism and falls under the Trans-National Crime program administered by the Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics Law Enforcement.
