About this file
This document outlines the salient characteristics for a Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) Radar System required by the federal government, likely for deployment at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
The C-UAS Radar System must be an X-band pulse-doppler radar capable of 360-degree coverage with a minimum detection range of two miles against a 1.4-kilogram drone. The system shall include a web-based application for visualizing UAS tracks on a map with alarm functionality for user-defined detection areas, and possess organic capability to classify tracks and differentiate unmanned aircraft systems from birds or other flying objects. The radome assembly must not exceed 75 pounds, and the system must feature track-while-scan capability and remote operation capability from an internal enclosure while positioned externally. The system package must include external networking capability, transport cases for relocation and component repair, interconnect cabling, user manuals, software licenses, on-site setup and operation training at Shaw AFB, SC, and ongoing service and support availability.
