The Contractor shall adhere to the following:

1. The Contractor shall return the Pelletron to full operational status, including restoration of ion beams within the full capabilities of a 9SDH-2 Pelletron, and the existing Toroidal Volume Ion Source (TORVIS) the Source of Negative Ions by Cesium Sputtering (SNICS) ion sources. It is expected that the full range of ion beams possible from these ion sources will be available after this effort. This shall include replacement of power cables and all necessary conduits for power distribution and parts during the field service.

2. The Upgrades to existing Pelletron components to accommodate the computer control system shall be conducted at ALC.

The Contractor shall, after completion of the upgrades and the return to operation, test and verify the proper functioning of all components of the upgraded Pelletron system to deliver ion beams with the full ion source and accelerator capabilities through both 90-degree magnets and through a subsequent switching magnet (already available at ALC). The Contractor shall document this performance and provide written operating procedures and procedures for routine maintenance of the Pelletron.

5. The Contractor shall provide documentation of the performance of the Pelletron system based on standard quantities, including but not limited to, beam currents achievable for different ions and particle kinetic energies for different ions. The Contractor shall deliver the documentation to the COR on the tenth (10th) day of the month after completion.

6. The Contractor shall provide documentation of the upgrades of the operating procedures and routine maintenance procedures for the Pelletron system. The Contractor shall deliver the documentation to the COR on the tenth (10th) day of the month after.
