About this file
This document is a Salient Characteristics document for the LOGIQ P9 XDclear R4.5 ultrasound system, which is the brand name or equal item being procured under the related federal contract opportunity.
The Salient Characteristics document outlines the key physical, functional, and performance requirements for the ultrasound system, including a 21.5-inch high resolution flat panel monitor, LCD touch screen, 3 active probe ports, and various scanning modes such as Doppler imaging and needle recognition. The system must have non-Doppler technology for hemodynamic display of blood flow, allow for on-screen comparison of past ultrasound studies, and have scanning software with auto-completion of measurements, automated Color Doppler steering, and comment insertion capabilities. Other requirements include an integrated digital B/W printer, external battery and charge kit, integrated noise filtering, and proprietary GE software packages.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation for the procurement of the LOGIQ P9 XDclear R4.5 ultrasound system (brand name or equal) for the Veterans Affairs Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS). Interested vendors are instructed to email their capability statements to the contracting officer.

Salient Characteristics: Brand Name or Equal
Brand Name Item: LOGIQ P9 XDclear R4.5
1) Essential/significant physical, functional, or performance characteristics.
VACCHCS currently has another Similar GE ultrasound. It is the station’s hope to purchase the above
Brand Name or Equal to ultrasound to allow for standardization of equipment, consumables, and will allow the new product to be covered by service and maintenance plan that is already in place.
Stand-alone ultrasound must have:
21.5 inch high resolution flat panel monitor, LCD touch screen, and 3 active probe parts. Scanning will include several modes such as doppler imaging and needle recognition. Scanning modes will include B-Mode, M-Mode, Color Flow, Pulsed Wave, and Power Doppler which will allow for precise imaging and precise anatomical detail at various depths. Ultrasound has console controls on the probes to assist with procedures and interventions.
Must have non doppler technology which allows for the hemodynamic display of blood flow without the use of a doppler.
Must allow for on screen comparison studies of past ultrasound while performing current exams.
Must have scanning software that supports:
o Auto completion of required measurements.
o Automatically steers Color Doppler.
o Inserts comments.
Transducer Technology:
o Acoustic Amplifier Technology recycles previously wasted acoustic energy into the transducer's crystal, boosting sensitivity.
o Single Crystal Technology allowing for increased bandwidth, enhanced signal-to-noise ratio, and improved axial resolution.
o Integrated transducer technology that reduces inherent heat generation.
Must have integrated Digital BW printer.
Must have an External battery and charge kit.
Must have integrated noise filtering system.
USB foot switch with 3 buttons.
Proprietary software:
Proprietary GE Scan assistants, LOGiQ view, B-steer, P series Compare Assistant software packages.
