About this file
This document specifies salient characteristics for two skid steer attachments required by the government.
The first requirement is one Cold Planer Skid Steer Attachment with a 450mm (18") drum width featuring 42 all-purpose conical bits and 1860mm (73") overall width. The attachment must include self-leveling capability, replaceable side skids, and Max Pro Pressure Gauge. It requires electro-hydraulic controls with independent left/right depth control, side shift, tilt, and a Float-Tilt Switch. Operating specifications include optimal flow/pressure of 125 l/min (33 gpm) at 280 bar (4000 psi), compatibility with AMICS or advanced display, and High Flow or High Flow XPS Hydraulics. The attachment must include one piston direct drive motor, maximum depth of cut of 170mm (6.7"), hydraulic lines with 1/2" quick disconnects, case drain line, 14-pin electrical harness, and mounting brackets with hardware. A 371-3725 Conversion Kit is required for B/B2/C/C2 Series machines but not for B3 or D Series machines.
The second requirement is one Pickup Broom Skid Steer Attachment with 1990mm (78") overall width and 1524mm (60") working width. The attachment features a 26" (660mm) brush diameter with adjustable brush height and a volumizer for increased material retention. Brush material composition is 50% polypropylene and 50% steel wire. The attachment must include hydraulic lines with 1/2" quick disconnects and brush frame chains, Standard Flow Hydraulics, and a pickup broom bracket for A/B Series machines (not required for C/D Series).
