About this file
This document outlines the salient characteristics required for a low phase noise signal generator to be considered an equal to the Agilent Technologies E8663D. The key requirements include:
Frequency range of 100 kHz to 3.2 GHz, harmonics accuracy specifications over various frequency ranges, improved harmonics below 2 GHz, and capability for AM, FM, phase modulation, and LF output. The signal generator must also comply with minimum use specifications in referenced Technical Orders.
The related federal contract opportunity is for a Low Phase Noise Signal Generator capable of generating signals over the frequency range of 100 kHz to 3 GHz, with continuous wave (CW) capabilities, high stability time-base, and ultra-low phase noise. The solicitation is issued by the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command.
