About this file

These are two equipment specification documents for collaborative robotic welding systems, designated as DOC # 6157-3340 (MIG/GMAW system) and DOC # 6157-3341 (TIG/GTAW system).

COBOT MIG (GMAW) Welding System (DOC # 6157-3340) specifies a complete welding package built on a Universal Robots UR8L Collaborative Robot with 1750 mm reach and 10 kg payload capacity. The system includes a modular 36" x 48" tabletop cart with four casters and floor lock, featuring a battleship coordinate system for relocatable jigs and tooling. Core equipment comprises a Lincoln Power Wave R450 GMAW power source, wire feeder with 3ft motor cable, torch, and torch mount. The single cart integrates the Melton Software Integration Package with intuitive conversational programming enabling rapid setup (less than 20 minutes) for tack welding, weaving, linear welds, circular welds, stitch welding, and patterns. Additional components include manual arm programming capability via pendant, start switch, robot pendant armor and screen protector, tool balancer for cable management, removable weld spatter tray, removable pendant mount, and a 28-piece tool kit. The system is specified for high deposition rates, repeatable welds, enhanced precision, and diverse welding task adaptability.

COBOT TIG (GTAW) Welding System (DOC # 6157-3341) features the same Universal Robots UR8L platform and modular cart configuration with identical dimensions and relocation capabilities. This variant is equipped with a Dynasty 300 (AC/DC) GTAW power source, Coolmate 1.3 water cooler, torch, gas hose with flowmeter, cables, cold wire feed, and servo control. Like the MIG system, it includes Melton Software Integration Package, start switch, robot pendant armor, 28-piece tool kit, and identical cart management features. The TIG system is specified for tungsten inert gas welding of intricate materials and complex assemblies, with requirements for exceptional precision on delicate welds, consistent quality across complex materials, force sensing and collision detection for safety, and adaptability to high-mix, low-volume production environments including aerospace and automotive applications. Both systems support identical welding task configurations (tack-welding, weaving, linear, circular, stitch, and patterns).
