About this file
This document is a Salient Characteristics Brand Name or Equal (BNOE) specification for a digital fundus camera system, specifically identifying the Nikon Optos Silverstone P200TxE as the reference equipment (M5510). The specification establishes mandatory minimum requirements for image capture, including nine imaging modalities with ultra-wide field (UWF) capability and integrated Swept Source OCT technology to facilitate comprehensive retinal-vitreous-to-sclera examination.
The camera must operate non-mydriatic with a minimum 2mm pupil and deliver UWF imaging across eight modalities: Color RG, Color RGB, Sensory (red-free), Choroidal, Autofluorescence Green, Autofluorescence Blue, Fluorescein, and Indocyanine Green. Specified laser wavelengths include 488 nm (blue), 532 nm (green), 635 nm (red), and 802 nm (infrared), with exposure time under 0.4 seconds and optomap resolution of 20 µm standard or 14 µm for optomap plus. OCT imaging must utilize Swept Source technology at 1050 nm wavelength with axial resolution less than 7 microns, transverse resolution less than 20 microns, scan depth up to 2.5 mm, and A-Scan rates up to 100k cycles per second. The unit must include a table with space requirements of 887 mm width by 600 mm depth with height adjustable from 725 to 1205 mm. The camera system itself measures 23"D x 22"W x 28"H, with a quantity requirement of one unit.
