About this file
This document appears to be a technical specification for two aerospace heat treating furnaces and related services. The procurement includes a Dual Chamber Heat Treating Furnace and a Single Chamber Heat Treating Furnace, both certified to multiple industry standards (AMS2750G, TO 1-1A-9, Boeing 5621 Pyrometry, and NADCAP). The Dual Chamber Furnace features an over/under configuration for solution heat treating and aging, with integrated water and oil quench tanks, programmable heat treat profiles, and data logging capabilities. The Single Chamber Furnace operates up to 2000°F with an inert atmosphere, is qualified for post-processing additive manufactured parts, and includes programmable profiles with integrated pyrometry instrumentation.
The procurement also includes on-site training for operators, records management, and monitoring software, as well as an overseas startup. The equipment will be shipped to Tracy, CA, with detailed shipping instructions requiring the sending company to provide comprehensive equipment information. Upon delivery to the 36th Maintenance Squadron Metals Technology Section, an installation and calibration team will assemble and calibrate the equipment. Within the first month of becoming operational, the Metals Technology Section will receive formal training on equipment use and maintenance. The entire procurement must comply with Attachment 3 – MFTO Memorandum, with the furnaces designed to integrate with each other and meet stringent aerospace manufacturing requirements.

1. Dual Chamber Heat Treating Furnace (for Aerospace):
a. Specifications:
• Certified to AMS2750G, TO 1-1A-9, Boeing 5621 Pyrometry, and NADCAP standards.
• Over/under dual-chamber configuration for solution heat treating (up to 1200°F, Class 1 ±5°F) and aging (up to 500°F, Class 1 ±5°F).
• Integrated water and oil quench tanks with automated quench delay recording.
• Programmable multi-step aerospace heat treats profiles with alarms for quench readiness.
• Data logging of batch records, TUS/SAT compliance, and quench delay metrics.
• Load/Unload mode for operator safety, with deviation alarms for ±10°F from setpoint.
• TUS/SAT calibration, thermocouple management, and audit records/Data Recording
b. Must be able to integrate with the Single Chamber Heat Treating Furnace.
2. Single Chamber Heat Treating Furnace (for Aerospace):
a. Specifications:
• Certified to AMS2750G, TO 1-1A-9, and NADCAP standards.
• Gas-tight chamber capable of inert atmosphere operation (nitrogen/argon) to prevent oxidation.
• Operates up to 2000°F with Class 3 ±15°F uniformity.
• Qualified for post-processing additive manufactured parts and oxidation-sensitive alloys.
• Programmable profiles with integrated pyrometry instrumentation and batch data recorders.
• TUS/SAT calibration, thermocouple management, and audit records/Data Recording
b. Must be able to integrate with the Dual Chamber Heat Treating Furnace.
3. On-Site Training: operator, records management, and monitoring software.
4. Overseas Startup
5. Shipping to Tracy, CA: 25600 S Chrisman Rd, Tracy CA 95304, USA
Shipping instructions will be coordinated by personnel from the receiving party and company shipping out machinery. Prior to shipment, the sending company must provide detailed information about the equipment, including its dimensions (length, width, height), total weight, packaging method (palletized or crated), and, if applicable, the National Stock Number (NSN) or label number. Upon receiving this information, the receiving party will complete and submit a DD1149 form. Once processed through the Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS), the finalized DD1149 will be returned to the sending company and used as the official shipping label. After delivery to the 36th Maintenance Squadron Metals Technology Section, an installation and calibration team will be dispatched to assemble and calibrate the equipment to full operational standards. Within the first month of the equipment becoming operational, the Metals Technology Section will also receive formal training hosted by the company on its use and maintenance.
All products must be accordance with Attachment 3 – MFTO Memorandum (Pg. 6-7)
