About this file
This document is a salient characteristics attachment for a federal contract opportunity. It describes the requirement for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) to procure nozzle and filter kits from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Cyclone Technology, in order to restore their surface cleaners to full operational health. The contract requires the OEM to provide the nozzle and filter kits, as well as to perform the installation services on two specific surface cleaner units. The related federal contract opportunity is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a "Service Kit" that will be issued as a firm fixed-price supply contract under a 100% small business set-aside. The solicitation will be sole-sourced to Cyclone Technology, and the delivery location is Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA.

Nozzle, Filter Parts Kits
Doc# 4221-1747/1748, 4222-1745/1745/1747
1. Background
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) owned ride-on surface cleaners do not have the correct nozzles and supporting components to provide the shop’s desired operating spray pressure of 500 – 2000 pounds per square inch (PSI).
Additionally, several filter housings were not adequately freeze protected in the spring of 2024 and experienced freeze damage (cracked components). This requirement will be through the sole source and OEM, Cyclone Technology.
