About this file
This is a Salient Characteristics certification document for a commercial availability determination related to the procurement of specialized test equipment. The Government requires the purchase of two (2) Tektronix 4 Series Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes, specifically Model Number MSO46B-MSO46B 4-BW-500, to be delivered to Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD 21005. The equipment must meet detailed technical specifications including six analog input channels per unit with dual coupling modes (DC and AC), variable input impedances (1 megaohm and 50 ohm), sensitivity ranges from 500 microvolts to 10 volts per division, and a maximum input voltage tolerance of 300 VRMS for 1 megaohm impedance and 5 VRMS for 50 ohm impedance. Each oscilloscope must feature 500 MHz bandwidth on all channels with upgradeability to higher GHz bandwidth, real-time analog sampling at 6.25 gigasamples per second across six simultaneous channels, 31.25 million point record length per channel, and up to 16-bit vertical resolution.
Additional technical requirements include multiple trigger types (edge, pulse width, rise/fall time, sequence, logic, window, and timeout), automatic waveform saving capability, 500,000 waveforms per second capture rate, auxiliary input/output connections, remote network control via standard web browser, simultaneous time- and frequency-domain signal observation, solid-state drives with closed embedded operating system, 13.3-inch touchscreen display at 1920x1080 resolution, standard 19-inch rack compatibility, carrying handle, one gigabit Ethernet port, HDMI connection, and minimum four USB 2.0 ports. The equipment includes a one-year manufacturer's warranty. Christopher Meredith, as the Technical Point of Contact, has certified that all salient characteristics are available in the commercial marketplace. The associated solicitation (W911QX26QA161) is a 100% small business set-aside brand name sole source procurement issued by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground.
