Salient Characteristics Bariatric Medical Surgical/Intensive Care Bed

1. Bed platform dimensions should be: low positioning deck to floor 15”, high positioning 30”, deck width minimum of 39”- 48” (expandable deck), and deck length minimum of 80”.

1. Must be capable to hold 1000 pounds in weight.

1. Must have two siderails, removeable two-position fold down.

1. Must have a dual brake and steering system with powerdrive.

1. Must have rotational capabilities to provide continuous lateral rotation therapy and immersion for pressure therapy (big turn capability, 39”)

1. Must include bed alarm.

1. Must include scale within bed.

1. Must include a bariatric hospital-grade mattress compatible with all specifications listed herein and must be wipeable for the prevention of infection control purposes.
