About this file

This is a Salient Characteristics document outlining the technical requirements for a benchtop parallel bioreactor system being procured by the Department of the Army Materiel Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground. The system must support working volumes up to 250mL, operate at least four vessels in parallel, be compatible with reusable/single-use vessels, and include features such as liquid-free temperature control, pH and dissolved oxygen control, foam/level detection, and liquid-free exhaust condensation. The system must operate at temperatures up to 60°C, fit on a lab bench with 21-inch depth, and support batch, fed batch, and continuous processing for bacteria and yeast.

The system must include license-free monitoring software with capabilities for parameter control, feedback loops, feeding strategies, guided calibration, user management, Excel reporting, and configurable charting. Delivery requirements include FOB destination to Army Research Laboratory-South at UT Austin, onsite installation and training, one-year warranty, readily available commercial replacement parts, and 12 months of software and hardware technical support.
