About this file
This is a salient characteristics document describing requirements for a benchtop parallel bioreactor system for the Army Research Laboratory-South at the University of Texas at Austin. The system must support working volumes up to 250mL, operate at least four vessels in parallel, be compatible with reusable or single-use vessels, and include features like liquid-free temperature control (up to 60°C), pH and dissolved oxygen control, foam/level detection, and liquid-free exhaust condensation. It must support batch, fed batch, and continuous processing for bacteria and yeast.
The system must include monitoring and control software with capabilities for process parameters, feedback loops, feeding strategies, guided calibration, user management, audit trails, Excel reporting, configurable charting, pre-defined cultivation templates, and graphical progress representation. Additional requirements include FOB destination delivery, onsite installation and training, one-year warranty on all parts, and 12 months of technical support. This requirement is being pursued by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground through a pre-solicitation notice (W911QX25Q0044).
