About this file
This document outlines requirements for a cryogen-free magnetotransport probe station solicitation. The United States Army intends to solicit Lake Shore Cryotronics, Inc. as the only responsible source to provide one cryogen-free magnetotransport probe station to support research at the Army Research Laboratory and Sensors and Electron Devices Directorate Power Components Branch. The probe station must have a 2.5 Tesla or greater magnetic field at base temperature, continuously variable temperature measurement probes from 10 to 400 Kelvin, a load-lock assembly for rapid sample exchange of approximately one hour, a minimum of six micromanipulated probe arms, a sample space greater than two square centimeters, and vibration at the sample of less than one micron. While sole-source procured from Lake Shore Cryotronics, other sources may submit proposals for consideration if received by the closing date of the notice. The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground is the contracting agency.
