About this file

The document is a Salient Characteristics specification for a Base Course material required by the 823 RHS (Range Headquarters Squadron) at Range C-64, located north of Eglin Air Force Base. The project involves procuring 7,500 tons of base course material with specific technical requirements, including a Lime rock bearing ratio value of at least 100 and strict aggregate composition standards.

The material specifications mandate that the base course must be of uniform quality, free from vegetable matter, shale, lumps, and clay balls. Aggregate requirements include a Soundness Loss of 15% per AASHTO T104, a Wear percentage of 45% per AASHTO T96 (Grading A), and must meet precise graduation requirements specified in the document. The material will be delivered to a specific location marked by a yellow star on an accompanying map, and must be tested and graded using ASTM E11 standard sieves to ensure compliance with the detailed technical specifications.
