About this file

This document contains Salient Characteristics for multiple Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) detailing specifications for chain slings used in overhead lifting. The chain slings must be manufactured from grade 100 type chain with varying diameters (5/8", ¾", 7/8") and lengths ranging from 6' to 30'. Each CLIN requires specific configuration types, including MF-MF, SOG, and TG1 EGKN, with master links, coupling links, and hooks positioned according to precise configuration requirements.

Common technical specifications across CLINs include: single leg chain sling assemblies, permanent OEM tagging with identification details, testing per ASTM 391/A391M and ASTM A906/906M standards, compliance with ASME B30.9 and B30.26 requirements, and a minimum design factor of 4 based on ultimate breaking strength. The chain slings are adjustable in some configurations, allowing for length modification, and must be manufactured with precise attention to link connections, material grade, and overhead lifting safety standards.
