About this file

This document is a Salient Characteristics specification for the USAF Radiochemistry Laboratory detailing requirements for specialized laboratory vials. The specification calls for 1,000 round-bottom, 7 mL Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) vials with specific dimensional requirements of 37.1 mm tall by 27.4 mm wide, including the cap. The vials must meet stringent technical specifications, including ultra-low background levels of trace metals (specifically Uranium), resistance to strong corrosive chemicals, and durability against melting and leaking during chemical contact. These vials are intended for use in Mass Spectroscopy chemistry applications, with critical performance characteristics that ensure minimal contamination and high chemical resistance.
