About this file

This document is an Addendum #1 Revision for a sealed bid invitation issued by Lewis County Public Works - Real Estate Department for the sale of surplus timber on county right of way located off Kray Road #904 in Chehalis, Washington. The project involves the sale of all standing timber located on a 1.2-acre, 30-foot strip of unopened dedicated road right of way. The timber is being offered for sale due to harvesting activities on an adjacent parcel that will make the standing timber vulnerable and potentially dangerous to the public. Sealed bids must be submitted electronically through the procurement portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lewiscountywa or delivered in person to the Clerk of the Board of Lewis County Commissioners at 351 N.W. North Street, Room 210, CMS-01, Chehalis, Washington 98532. The bid submission deadline is 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Thursday, June 11, 2026, with public bid opening scheduled for or after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026. The question submission deadline is June 5, 2026 at 12:00 p.m., with responses provided by June 9, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Contact Kim Edminster, Real Estate Manager, at (360) 740-2666 or kimberly.edminster@lewiscountywa.gov for additional information. The project agreement and related documents are available at the Lewis County Property Management Office, 57 W. Main Street, Chehalis, WA 98532.

Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check in the amount of $500.00, which will be returned if the bid is unsuccessful or credited toward the purchase price if the bid is selected as the successful bid. The minimum bid amount is $3,063.00. Bidders must submit a signed agreement and copy of the cashier's check as part of their bid submission. The Lewis County Public Works Department complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and affirms that disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for award.
