Sack Dam Fish Passage Industry Day Notice Synopsis:
Industry Event and Site Visit Notification.
Scope:
NOTICE: This is not a solicitation. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, California Great Basin Region will host a two-day industry event for the Sack Dam Fish Passage Project.
The purpose of this upcoming event is to improve the industry’s understanding of Reclamation’s upcoming requirement, answer questions on the Sack Dam Fish Passage project, and solicit feedback from industry as part of our market research.
Future Project Preliminary Details:
The worksite is located approximately twenty-four (24) miles east of Los Banos, California in Madera and Fresno Counties.
The principle components of work include the following:
A. In river work requires dewatering and cofferdam contractor designs and installation(s) using methods such as sheet piling and/or embankment construction.
B. Installation of closed-ended steel pipe piles and sheet piles beneath concrete slab foundations.
C. Concrete headwork structures with associated gates with actuators, decking with guardrail, earthwork, upstream and downstream channel improvements, retaining walls, and river rock-lined fish ramp.
D. Concrete fish ladder with baffles.
E. Earthen berms with riprap slope protection and gated gravel roadways on the crest.
F. Mechanically stabilized earthwall for riverbank stabilization.
G. Fish screen with screen cleaner, monorail, electrical outlets, and air burst system.
H. Maintenance building with gravel yard, security fencing, engine generator set with diesel fuel tank, compressor, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, power and access roadway.
I. Programable Logic Controller (PLC) based control, monitoring, and automation system for Sack Dam Fish Passage and associated features.
J. Provide a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) for approval.
1. Install all storm water pollution prevention measures as indicated in the approved SWPPP.
The estimated duration for Sack Dam Fish Passage is an estimated 1,095 calendar days. In accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects, the magnitude of construction is estimated between $100 Million and $200 Million. This magnitude may be adjusted upon the issuance of the final solicitation.
Industry Day Details:
Reclamation announces a two-day Industry event as follows:
1) Day 1 - Virtual Event Presentation: The first day will be held virtually, via Microsoft Teams meeting. This meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 10am-12pm Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)) and requires attendees to register with the procurement team as identified in the registration paragraph below.
2) Day 2 - Site Visit: The second day will be held onsite on Wednesday, August 21st from 9:00am to 11:00am (PDT) and requires attendees to register with the procurement team as identified in the registration paragraph below.
*Note: Details of the Site Visit location will be provided upon registration with the procurement team.

Registration requests shall include the names, titles, email addresses, and phone numbers for each registrant that will attend from each company/entity. The procurement team will provide emailed invitations, via Microsoft Teams, two business days after the above deadline.

The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice or for arrangements made for attendance of this Industry Day.
