About this file

This document is an Amendment (0001) to a Solicitation for Hazardous Waste Collection and Disposal Services at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Dickinson County, Michigan. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a single vendor contract for waste management services, with specific requirements including emergency response times (1-hour emergency service, non-negotiable), waste transportation, and packaging of waste stored in 18-gallon black bins. The solicitation covers approximately 2,800 lbs of pharmaceutical waste (non-controlled substances), with waste disposal to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key contract details include a Department of Labor Wage Determination for Dickinson County applying to the award, an existing incumbent contract (36C25220D0034) that can be referenced via the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), and a pricing schedule that must be completed in the specified format. The contract is an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with minimum and maximum order amounts detailed in the solicitation. The original quote due date remains unchanged, and the vendor questions period is now closed, with clarifications provided on waste types, packaging, and service expectations.
